Tenancy Reforms
As of the 31st January, 2011 the “Residential Tenancy Act 2010” has commenced.
It is a comprehensive review of the existing tenancy laws and includes more than 100 reforms.
Changes include:
- early termination by tenants
- ‘no-grounds’ evictions
- alterations by the tenants
- rent arrears
- security and tenancy databases
